Creative Fun in York

With the promise of snow, the journey up North certainly looked daunting, but was thankfully fantastic! As we were greeted by such friendly and helpful staff at the venue (thank you Holiday Inn York!) the mammoth five hour journey was well worth it!

And so on to our Creative Challenge!

We had such a wonderful time preparing for the event that we were itching to get going the night before the event was even due to start! The objective of our Creative Challenge is for teams to work together to find objects, answer questions and use their creativity - all with the use of a smartphone. So for us as event staff running round the hotel, sourcing challenges and clues, we certainly knew the fun had already begun!

On the day of the challenge we had teams of fours and fives getting heavily involved in the task. As soon as we said go - they were off! You would think that for a smartphone based activity, there would not be enough within the grounds of an inner city hotel to occupy teams - WRONG! Although one team did manage to complete all the questions - it was only within the nick of time.

Everyone within the teams got involved - taking pictures of each other, solving the riddles and bonus tasks - no one was left out! They even got the hotel staff in on the action for picture taking so that whole teams could be in the photos!

As a collective, the team were excellent. Everyone engaged with each other and recognised and built upon the strengths that they all possessed. Ultimately, the challenge provided a great way of utilising an everyday piece of technology for an age-old requirement - getting people working together!

So if you fancy taking on our Creative Challenge - don't forget to contact us for more information!
