2011 ended on a wonderful high note for all the Eventus team, as we enjoyed some more fantastic team events up and down the country! From Preston with our Pub Games Event, to Surrey with our fantastic International Marble Run, the festive season was full of fun for everyone involved!
Perhaps the most exhilarating event of the year was our Summit or Bust Energiser for 400 PEOPLE! But despite the daunting task of 'climbing' Everest, nearly all the teams managed to reach the summit with smiles all round! A great end to another super year!
 Our Summit or Bust event took teams on the South Col route of Everest, and all in a total comfortable time of about...well...30 minutes!
The challenge was a team race to the summit of Everest, right from the comfort of a conference chair.
Each team was provided with a survival rucksack and a poster-sized map of Everest detailing the route to the top. Team members then worked their way up the colossal mountain by completing our various 'mountain challenges'.
 From Base Camp to Advanced Base Camp and beyond, teams worked their way to Everest's summit. It was a race though - so our very own Mountain Man Facilitator was on hand to ensure teams were guided safely on their epic journey!
The metaphor of climbing Everest and the teamwork required to operate in such a challenging environment is one that can be applied to many organisations (of course it is also great fun and a great icebreaker).
