All the fun of the fair - with our Pub Games Challenge!

Well what a week it has been - a frenzy of fun, facing traditional British challenges- and that's without the weather!

Of course it is more in reference to our fantastic Pub Games Event, which we had the pleasure of running up in (not so) sunny Preston!

Our traditional Pub Games Event is perfect for the thrill seeking, nostalgic and even the most competitive of teams and was certainly met with huge rapture up North!

All the well-known pub games were there - Skittle Alley, Shove Ha'penny, Quoits, Darts - plus a few great pub games that some people may not have come across before such as Shuffleboard, Ringing the bull and Aunt Sally.

To add to the fun, many of the games have been scaled up in size - just so every member of the team can get in on the ACTION!

Now many of the participants this week were probably expecting just a typical domino night down the local, a few drinks and maybe a jukebox in the background. LUCKILY, they were more than pleasantly surprised when what greeted them was a whole host of true British social heritage (some of our games are even ANTIQUES!), as there was an abundance of challenging but fun games - some of which have been played for CENTURIES!

With the hooter marking the start of the race, the teams set off to complete each and every challenge they saw before them. With the drinks flowing and howling laughter filling the room, the atmosphere was electric, and even with the referees trying to ensure the rules were scrupulously observed (whilst also joining in on the fun), the playful merriment continued right through the evening!

With the focus more on the fun and games, rather than the drinking, the teams didn't mind at all that their glasses were almost running on empty! By everyone getting lost in the enjoyment, it shows that our traditional Pub Games event is perfect for all!

Having the spotlight on the high entertainment value, it's hard not to want to carry the fun on all the way down your own local!

So, with the Olympic year next year and the focus on Britain as a whole, why not try an alternative team event and experience a taste of true British heritage!
